Es uno de los pionieros de la escena house americana con mezclas progresivas, techno y Tribal house.

En un principio, era conocido como Disc Jockey en el Paradise Garage en Nueva York. Fue famoso por la creación de "marathon set" que duró 20 horas sin parar.

En 2002, recibió una nominación a los premios Grammy por su remix de I Feel Loved para Depeche Mode en la categoría “Mejor Grabación Remixada”, también fue nominada como Mejor Canción Dance.

En 2021, con motivo de su 60 cumpleaños, la plataforma de distribución y venta de música Beatport organizó un festival en streaming con grandes artistas para rendirle homenaje como son: Benny Soto & Mike Nervous, Sasha Carassi, Harry Romero, Sharam, KiNK, Blond:ish, Markus Schulz, Seth Troxler, el propio Danny Tenaglia, Carl Cox, Chris Liebing, Ilario Alicante, Steve Lawler, Hernan Cattaneo, DJ Chus, Demi, Mendo, Lauren Lane, Behrouz, Misstress Barbara, Boris, Pablo Ceballos, DJ Vibe, Guy Gerber, David Guetta, Nicole Moudaber, Dubfire, Paco Osuna y Victor Calderone.
