La '''temporada 1957 de [[Fórmula 1]]''' fue la 8ª del [[Campeonato Mundial de Pilotos de Fórmula 1|Campeonato Mundial de Pilotos]] de la [[Federación Internacional del Automóvil|FIA]]. Se disputó entre el 13 de enero y el 8 de septiembre. El campeonato consistió en 8 carreras, 7 de [[Reglas de la Fórmula 1|Fórmula 1]] más [[Indianápolis 500]], disputada bajo las reglas de la [[Asociación Automovilística Estadounidense|AAA]]. [[Juan Manuel Fangio]] obtuvo su cuarto campeonato consecutivo, el quinto y último de su carrera.

Fangio volvió a cambiar de equipo, uniéndose a Maserati antes del inicio de la temporada. La decisión resultó ser un acierto, dado que su antiguo equipo, [[Ferrari]] (con [[Peter Collins]], [[Eugenio Castellotti]] y el retornado [[Mike Hawthorn]]) fue incapaz de ganar una sola carrera. Castellotti y el español [[Alfonso de Portago]] murieron en accidentes fuera de la competición

Al finalizar la temporada se anunció que Fangio se retiraba de la Fórmula 1. Maserati también se retiraba, alegando razones económicas. 1957 fue también el último año que repartía puntos a los pilotos que compartían un mismo coche.
