Richtersveld presenta una serie de hábitats que sostienen un conjunto diverso de especies de mamíferos, reptiles, y aves.
Entre las especies de mamíferos se cuentan [[Pelea capreolus|antílope cabrío]], [[Cephalophinae|duiker]], [[Raphicerus campestris|steenbok]], [[Oreotragus oreotragus|salta rocas]], [[Equus zebra hartmannae|cebra de montaña Hartmann]], [[Papio ursinus|babuino Chacma]], [[Chlorocebus pygerythrus|cercopiteco verde]], [[Caracal caracal|Caracal]] y el [[Panthera pardus pardus|leopardo africano]].
