'''''Beeldenstorm''''' en [[neerlandés]], traducible como "tormenta de las estatuas", englobada en lo que se denominó '''Furia iconoclasta''', es un término utilizado para referirse a episodios de destrucción de imágenes religiosas que tuvieron lugar en Europa durante el siglo XVI. Durante estos brotes [[iconoclasta]]s, se destruyeron elementos de arte católico y numerosos adornos y decoraciones en acciones no oficiales o por parte de turbas nominalmente protestantes [[calvinismo|calvinistas]] como parte de la [[Reforma Protestante]]. La mayoria de la destrucción abarcó piezas de arte en iglesias y lugares públicos. Si bien el término neerlandés se refiere especificamente a la ola de disturbios y ataques que ocurrieron en el verano de 1566 que se propagaron rapidamente de sur al norte de los [[Países Bajos]], brotes iconoclastas similares ocurrieron en otros sitios de Europa, especialmente [[Reforma en Suiza|en Suiza]] y en el [[Sacro Imperio Romano]] en el período entre 1522 y 1566, especialmente en [[Zurich]] (in 1523), [[Copenhagen]] (1530), [[Münster]] (1534), [[Ginebra]] (1535), y [[Augsburg]] (1537).
