== Historia ==
El [[17 de mayo]] de [[1886]] dos clubes de una fabrica de Motherwell (Glencairn F.C. y Alpha F.C.) se unen y forman al '''Motherwell Football Club'''. En los primeros años usaron el estadio de [[Alpha F.C.]], luego fueron obligados a irse. En [[1893]] en la reunión anual se decidió que el club se profesional y que jugara en la Segunda divisiónDivisión, diez años después logran subir a la Primera divisiónDivisión. LosEl colorescolor del club en sus inicios eranera principalmente azul, pero en [[1912]] cambian a los que usan actualmente.
