Ned Rorem (Richmond, Indiana; 23 de octubre de 1923 - Nueva York, 18 de noviembre de 2022)^[1] fue un laureado compositor y escritor estadounidense.

Biografía editar

Recibió su educación en la University of Chicago, en el American Conservatory y el Instituto Curtis de Filadelfia perfeccionándose en la Juilliard School de New York.^[2]

Vivió en Marruecos y en París (1949-57). Declarado homosexual, en 1969 publicó sus diarios (Paris Diary) donde describió sus relaciones con Leonard Bernstein, Noel Coward, Samuel Barber, y Virgil Thomson. Como ensayista ha escrito varios libros "Setting the Tone", "Music From the Inside Out", y "Music and People".
