Thermococcaceae

En taxonomía, las Thermococcaceae son la única familia dentro de Thermococcales.​ Casi todas las especies dentro de las tres géneros de Thermococcaceae fueron aislados de fuentes hidrotermales al fondo oceánico. Todas son estrictamente anaerobias.​
