Anexo:Discografía de Willowtip Records
Willowtip Records es un sello discográfico independiente con sus oficinas en Zelienople, Pensilvania, el cual se especializa en el metal extremo. Jason Tipton, quien fundó Willowtip Records a finales de 1990s,[1] es también su propietario. Su catálogo incluye a bandas de diversos países como Bélgica, Canadá, Alemania, Finlandia e Italia.[2] El primer lanzamiento a través del sello fue el del EP/Split entre Creation Is Crucifixion y Fate of Icarus, en 1999. Un año más tarde, Willowtip lanzó el álbum debut de Circle of Dead Children, titulado Starving the Vultures. En el 2002 el sello lanzó ul EP promocional de la banda de grindcore Cephalic Carnage; el cual consiste de un único sencillo con una duración de 19 minutos, titulado Halls of Amenti.[3] Al siguiente año, Willowtip lanza el álbum debut de Ion Dissonance, titulado Breathing Is Irrelevant. En una entrevista, Jason Tipton mencionó que uno de los lanzamientos más significativos de Willowtip ha sido el relanzamiento del álbum de Necrophagist Onset of Putrefaction en el 2004. Aunque ambos; disquera y banda, experimentaron algunas dificultades al momento de realizar las mejoras del álbum.[1]
Bandas como Misery Index, Leng Tch'e, Capharnaum, Arsis, Neuraxis, Alarum, y Rotten Sound poseen álbumes lanzados a través de este sello. Willowtip Records también ha co-lanzado materiales con disqueras como Earache Records, Candlelight Records y Neurotic Records, este último firmó un contrato con Willowtip para la distribución de su material por Estados Unidos.[4][5][6] Desde su fundación, el sello ha lanzado un total de 72 álbumes de 52 artistas.
