| Descripción |
English: A lead alloy domino of Post Medieval date, probably AD 1700 - 1900. The domino is sub-rectangular and the front face is marked with six recessed circles on one side of an incised dividing line, and four holes on the other. Much of the original surface is missing (patches survive on the sides) and the metal is worn and corroded. It is a yellow white colour. The gaming piece measures 35.9mm long, 20.1mm wide and 3.8mm thick. 12.99g.
Compare SWYOR-D3ABC3 which comments that: "The earliest domino sets are thought to date from the 13th century and originate in China. The game reached Europe by the 18th century and is thought to derive its name from the French word 'Domino' for a black and white hood worn by Christian priests in winter."
