«Cotton-Eye Joe» en agosto de 1994, la banda de techno / folk / bluegrass sueca Rednex versionó la canción como «Cotton Eye Joe» para su álbum Sex & Violins, combinando su estilo con instrumentos tradicionales americanos, como banjos sintetizados (desde Roland MT-32),[1] y violines. Es considerado un one-hit wonder.
