El concepto de Sophora editar
El concepto del género Sophora que se usa aquí tiene más de 40 años de antiguedad. El género Styphnolobium Schott, 1830 fue separado correctamente por Yakovlev (1967) y ha sido monografiado por Sousa & Ruud (1993)[1]. Se obvian los análisis efectuados por Pennington et al. (2001)[2], Kite & Pennington (2003) [3], Lavin et al. (1998)[4], Palomino et al. (1993)[5] y Doyle & Doyle (2000) [6] sobre cromosomas, secuencias moleculares (trnL)y presencia de alcaloides quinolizidínicos. Y Calia también es un género aparte [7].
