Teddy (perro)
Teddy the Dog o Keystone Teddy (1910/11 – 17 de mayo de 1925) fue el actor canino más famoso asociado a los estudios de Mack Sennett. El gran danés fue uno de los tres únicos actores del estudio (junto con Mabel Normand y Roscoe Arbuckle) cuyo nombre apareció en el título de una película (Teddy at the Throttle). Trabajó principalmente en películas cómicas de Sennett, pero también apareció en películas dramáticas como Stella Maris (1918), The Strangers' Banquet (1922) y A Boy of Flanders (1924).[1]: 549

Según los equipos de rodaje y los compañeros de reparto, Teddy se comportaba en el set tan profesionalmente como cualquier actor humano.[2][3] Se le atribuye haber aparecido en al menos 60 películas, casi todas ellas cortometrajes, entre 1915 y 1924.[4][5]
Su propietario era Joseph E. Simkins y fue entrenado por él, Teddy pesaba 145 libras y medía 42 pulgadas.[1]: 76, 549 Murió el 17 de mayo de 1925 a los 14 años en la casa de Simkins en Hollywood.
