The Reason for God: Belief in an Age of Skepticism se basa en las objeciones de la fe cristiana en la parte 1, "The Leap of Doubt". Autores escépticos citados incluyen a John Leslie Mackie,[1] Richard Dawkins,[2] Sam Harris, y Christopher Hitchens.[3] Este invoca la racionalidad crítica o racionalismo crítico[4] en "intermisión" como un método de plantear argumentos a favor de Dios y la fe en la parte 2, "The Reasons for Faith".
