La discografía de Epica, una banda de metal sinfónico de los Países Bajos, consiste de siete álbumes de estudio, un álbum en vivo, un álbum recopilatorio y un álbum en DVD.

El guitarrista Mark Jansen formó Epica luego de abandonar After Forever el 2003 por diferencias musicales con sus otros integrantes. La banda en sus inicios se llamaba «Sahara Dust» y tenía como vocalista a Helena Michaelsen (ex-Trail of Tears) hasta que Mark invitó a Simone Simons, mezzo-soprano con apenas 17 años y su pareja en ese entonces.[cita requerida]

Su primer álbum de estudio fue The Phantom Agony y luego lanzaron su primer DVD, We Will Take You With Us.

En 2005 lanzaron su segundo álbum de estudio, Consign to Oblivion, disco que aborda la cultura maya.

En septiembre del mismo año se lanzó The Score - An Epic Journey, con canciones originalmente compuestas para la película Joyride.

Luego del anterior disco, Jeroen Simons decidió abandonar la banda y es reemplazado por Ariën van Weesenbeek, actual baterista de God Dethroned.

El 2007 se lanzó su tercer álbum de estudio, The Divine Conspiracy, este trabajo trata de demostrar que Dios creó muchas religiones en el mundo, pero deben superar sus diferencias superficiales, y descubrir que su verdadera naturaleza es igual o independiente de sus creencias.

En diciembre del mismo año, Ad Sluijter abandonó la banda. La razón principal es la presión que significa hacer un disco en un tiempo determinado sin dejar paso a la pasión de componer música, además de la apretada agenda de conciertos que posee en el último tiempo esta banda.[cita requerida]

En enero de 2009, el guitarrista Isaac Delahaye se unió a Epica en reemplazo de Ad Sluijter. Isaac (al igual que Arien) pertenece a God Dethroned.

En mayo de 2009 se lanzó su primer álbum en vivo, The Classical Conspiracy, en el cual por primera vez logran tocar con una orquesta y un coro en vivo.

En octubre de 2009 se lanzó su cuarto álbum de estudio, Design Your Universe, el cual trata de los nuevos y grandiosos avances en física cuántica. Esto prueba que todos estamos conectados a nivel subatómico.[cita requerida]
