Desde una temprana edad, Debby Ryan participó en obras de [[teatro]] y espectáculos mientras cursaba la [[Educación Primaria]] en una escuela pública al norte de [[Texas]]. Se mudó a [[Alemania]] a los 7 años y allí se involucró en el teatro profesional. A los 10 años volvió a [[Estados Unidos]] y se dio cuenta de que quería ser [[actriz]] para actuar a tiempo completo. El papel de Bailey reemplaza al de ''[[Maddie Fitzpatrick]]'' ([[Ashley Tisdale]]), ya que es la compañera de camarote y la mejor amiga de ''[[London Tipton]]'', y Cody está enamorado de ella, aunque Bailey no lo sabe.
