The Battle of Kruty (Ukrainian: Бій під Крутами, Biy pid Krutamy) took place on January 29[1] or 30,[2] 1918 (in Soviet historiography January 29, 1918),[2] near Kruty railway station (today the village of Pamiatne, Borzna Raion, Chernihiv Oblast), about 130 kilometres (81 mi) northeast of Kyiv, Ukraine, which at the time was part of Nezhinsky Uyezd of Chernigov Governorate.

La población fue establecida en 1957 a la par que se fue construyendo la [[Central Nuclear de Novovoronezh|central nuclear]].<ref name=":0">{{Cite web|url=http://new-voronezh.ru/its/o-gorodskom-okruge|title=About City District|website=Novovoronezh Town Official Website}}</ref> Por aquel entonces su primera nomenclatura fue Novo Grayessovskiy, hasta que se cambió por su nombre actual en el mismo año.
El 30 de septiembre de 1964 se puso en marcha la primera unidad de 210 [[Megawatio|MW]] de la central.<ref name=":0" />
