El '''Hukbalahap''' fue el brazo armado del [[Partido Comunista de Filipinas]], formado en 1942 para luchar contra la ocupación del [[Imperio del Japón]] durante la [[II Guerra Mundial]]. También luchó, entre 1946-1954, contra los pro-occidentales filipinos tras la independencia del país. El término es una contracción del [[Idioma filipino|filipino]] "Hukbong Bayan Laban sa mga Hapon", que significa "Ejército Popular contra el Japonés".
