Elektra KB artista inmigrante latina de nacionalidad colombiana^[1] Su obra aborda la enfermedad y la discapacidad física. KB investiga temas como el género, la migración, la transculturalidad y el abuso de poder. ^[2]^[3]

Educación

Estudió en la Escuela de Artes Visuales de Nueva York (SVA) y el Hunter College, NY. Recibió una beca premio del DAAD, para estudiar en la UDK-Berlín con la artista Hito Steyerl en 2015.^[4]

Carrera

La obra de KB ha sido reseñada en publicaciones como Art Forum ^[5], Artnews ^[6], Hyperallergic ^[7], BOMB Magazine ^[8], The Guardian ^[9] y The New York Times ^[10], entre otras. Algunas exposiciones recientes incluyen: Think Tank: REPRODUCTIVE AGENTS^[11], Museo MADRE, Italia, 'Who Will Write the History of Tears (Postsecular)' en el Muzeum Sztuki Nowoczesnej w Warszawie (2021) ^[12]. KB fue elegida como "Mujeres artistas que merecen nuestra atención" en 2020 por Artsy ^[15]. Sus obras se encuentran en las colecciones del Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Yinchuan en China, la Fondation Pour l'art Contemporain Salomon y el Museo de Arte Moderno de Varsovia.^[16]^[17]
