Olga and Manuel Ayau Cordón University is a private, non-political and non-profit institution. His philosophical principles are freedom, truth, justice and harmony. It was founded in October 2021 by Dr. Inés Ayau García, educator and philanthropist, who is the rector.

It is based in Ciudad Prospera, on the Island of Roatán, Honduras. It is maintained with donated financial resources and with the fees paid by the students. These resources are assigned exclusively for administration, rectory, deanship, teaching and acquisition of educational technology.

Currently the University has five faculties, in which these careers can be studied: Sciences for Environmental Sustainability, Political Sciences, History of Mesoamerica, Psychopedagogy and Sacred Scriptures. Three academic degrees are awarded: bachelor's, master's and doctorate. Any person, from any country in the world, who speaks Spanish, can study these careers; and you can enroll electronically any day of the year. The university supplies the books required in each major. They are electronic books, produced by herself.

The careers are studied completely online, through the Internet; but the student does not have to be in an electronic classroom at a certain time, nor does he have to simultaneously study the same academic subject with other students.

The student does not have to apply a certain learning method either, but he chooses it himself, nor does he have to learn in the same way that other students of the career learn, but he learns according to his own way. There is no maximum time to complete the study of the bachelor's, master's or doctorate; nor is there a professor who directs the learning process, but rather the student directs it, with the option of requesting the guidance of the academic deans.

The university has concluded, with other universities, mutual recognition agreements for academic titles. For example, it has entered into an agreement with the Russian State University of Humanities, and one with the Virtual Hispanic University of Mexico.
