Fue el primer ganador de un [[Royal Rumble]] en la historia, el [[Royal Rumble 1988]].
Participó en la Batalla Real de 24 Hombres en [[WrestleMania XXIV]], pero fue eliminado.
También se le vio en en el segmento de [[WWE Raw|Raw]], "Million Dollar Mania", junto con [[Vince McMahon]].
En la clasificación para el Royal Rumble del 2008 perdió rápidamente su combate con [[Umaga]].
Tuvo un feudo con los, por entonces, Campeones Mundiales por Parejas [[Cody Runnels|Cody Rhodes]] y [[Ted DiBiase, Jr.]] ya que estos lo insultaron diciéndole que su tiempo de gloria había pasado hace tiempo . Jim parece que ha encontrado un papel en la empresa donde aferrarse.
En el episodio de [[Raw]] del 15 de diciembre tenía que luchar contra [[Chris Jericho]], pero este se negó alegando que Jim no estaba a su altura.
Participó en el [[Royal Rumble 2009]] entrando en la posición número 29 y siendo luego eliminado por [[Big Show]], quien entró 30. El 3 de octubre fue despedido de la WWE.
