Atresia de Esófago Definición: la malformación congénita más frecuente del esófago en el recién nacido, que se caracteriza, por falta de continuidad de la pared esofágica, con obstrucción de su lumen, estando el esófago divido en dos cabos ciegos, uno superior y otro inferior los cuales pueden comunicar o no con la tráquea a través de trayectos fistulosos.
Esophageal atresia Definition: the most common congenital malformation of the esophagus in the newborn, characterized by the lack of continuity of the esophageal wall, with obstruction of the lumen, being the esophagus divided into two blind ends, one upper and one lower, that can communicate or not with the trachea through fistulous tracts.
