George Rufus Adams (29 de abril de 1940 Covington, Georgia – 14 de noviembre de 1992 en Nueva York)[1] fue un músico estadounidense de jazz que tocaba saxofón, la flauta y el clarinete bajo.[2] Es más conocido por su trabajo con Charles Mingus, Gil Evans, Roy Haynes y en el cuarteto que codirigía con el pianista Don Pullen, con el bajista Cameron Brown y el baterista Dannie Richmond. También era conocido por su peculiar forma de cantar.[3]
